Moments of the third stage of the 2nd International Meeting for the Byzantine Art of 2017. The event traveled from Greece to Bucharest, Romania, from 12 to 15 May, where the exhibition was inaugurated at the Municipal Museum of Palazzo Sutu on Saturday 13 May.
Also in Bucharest there was a rich program of workshops, lectures and visits in parallel to the exhibition, among which we report again the workshop on the ancient colors with Roberta Capezzuoli, Giovanna Caldarella and Javier Carrasco of the School of Iconography of Florence; the symposium with the lectures by Prof. Ştefan Buchiu, Dean of the Faculty of Orthodox Theology “Iustinian Patriarhul” of the University of Bucharest; by Dr. Vasile Timiş, Inspector General for Religious Subjects of the Ministry for National Education; by Luiza Bârcău, critic and art historian, collaborator of Radio Trinitas; of Prof. Vasile Bogus, Inspector for Religious Subjects of the General School Inspectorate Ilfov; by Christina Matiaki, theologian, archaeologist, iconographer, teacher of the Iconography Labs in Kozani (Greece); by Alessandro Mazzucchelli, historian of medieval art, responsible for the Florentine Section of the Archeosofica Association.
